VFR pilots is a platform where pilots around the globe can share tips, trips and other aviation related topics. It makes selecting the next destination for your VFR flight much more easier and fun. Now you can use the knowledge of your fellow pilots to explore which destination is worthwhile visiting (eg. due to its nice approach path or activities and facilities in the vicinity of the particular airport).
English is the main language on vfrpilots.com, not only because English now is the mandated international language of aviation, but It makes sharing tips with all nationalities around the world easier.

Yes, all the services and information offered on vfrpilots.com are completely free of charge.
To view the tips given by fellow pilots you don't need an account. If you want to join the vfrpilot community and share your tips, trips and other information, you only have to register once or you can also sign-in with your Facebook account. Your contribution to the VFR Pilots community will be much appreciated by your fellow pilots!

Creating a tip is easy. Select “Tips” in the header above (or go to the airport page of your choice). Next, press the “add a tip button”. You are now on the tip creation page. Fill in the empty fields:

  • Title: The Title of your tip
  • Airport: The airport (our surroundings of the airport) where the tip is about
  • Category: Choose a category for your tip
  • Location: Search for the location (e.g.: company, restaurant) in the location search bar
  • Content: Give a description of the tip
  • Upload one or more photo’s: upload photo’s regarding the tip
  • Video (enter you-tube URL): Simply copy/paste a you-tube URL in this field to add a video.

Next press on the “Save tip” button, to save your tip. At the moment your tip is added to the selected airport, and shared with your fellow pilots. When viewing the completed tip, you can also press the “Share this tip on Facebook” button, to easily share this tip on Facebook.

Creating a trip is easy. Select “Trips” in the header above. Next, press the “add a trip button”. First you are asked to fill in the title of your trip, next press the “Create trip” button. At this moment your trip has been saved, and can be editen whenever you want. You will be automatically directed to the Trip creation page for further editing, or you can do this later. For further editing, you can create your trip on the map, by selecting the airports you will visit:

  • Airport: First select the departing airport, search for the airport in the add airports field, and select the airport with your mouse. This airport will then automatically will be added to your flight plan on the right. After that select the next airport of you trip, until al airports have been selected. You can change the sequence of the airports on the right, simply bij drag and drop the airports.
  • Content: Give a description of your trip
  • Upload one or more photo’s: upload photo’s regarding the trip
  • Video (enter you-tube URL): Simply copy/paste a you-tube URL in this field to add a video
  • Press the save button
  • When on the trip page, you can also press the “Share this tip on Facebook” button, to easily share this tip on Facebook.

Adding an event is easy. Select “events” in the grey header bar on top of the homepage and press the “add an event” button. You are now on the event creation page.

  • Title: The Title of the event
  • Airport: The airport (our surroundings of the airport) where the event will be held
  • Event start date: The start date of the event
  • Event end date: The end date of the event
  • Location: Search for the location (e.g.: company, restaurant) where the event will be held
  • Event URL: Here you can add a website url regarding the event.
  • Content: Give a description of the event
  • Upload one or more photo’s: upload photo’s regarding the event
  • Video (enter you-tube URL): Simply copy/paste a you-tube URL in this field to add a video.
  • Now press the: “create event” button and your event has been created.
